The Ainsworth Family

Welcome to our blog

We’re a large family who love the Lord, and each other. At times we may appear not to belong together, but just try to get between us...

Grandparents at Last - by Howard

On a day of international celebration, Louis Cameron Reber was born to Fred and Charlotte at 1:01 a.m. in Cleburne, Texas. It was such a blessed event, that the space shuttle Endeavour was launched, in his honor, roughly an hour and a half later. Presumably speaking of the shuttle, NASA engineers said the launch was picture perfect.

Louis was born at home, with father Fred, aunt Lauren, and 3 midwives in attendance. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz., and was 19-1/2 in. long. Everything went smoothly, and both mother and baby are doing well. Fred seems very well grounded, but the rest of us are in orbit. We are so thankful to Our Heavenly Father for extending our family in such a miraculous way. The shuttle is a marvel, but God’s creation trumps man’s every time!

We had the privilege of visiting our new grandson this afternoon, and took the first of many pictures.

  1. Congratulations ! I saw Charlotte in wal-mart on the 10th, well I saw her in the parking lot and we waved. I thought then, it can't be much longer for her.
He is a true little blessing and handsom too.
May God guide each of his steps and that of his parents as they direct his path.
p.s. very nice job on the blog

  2. I am so thrilled to learn that I have a new second cousin! How exciting for you and Leslie to finally be grandparents!! Are you sure you're ready?! I somehow feel that you're right- you were born for this role. I have no doubt little Louis is in very capable hands. Please share my love with Charlotte and Fred. I couldn't be happier for them. =)

  3. I haven't seen my new little guy, but I feel so proud of him already!!! I am never happier than when I'm holding a baby--they're such a testimony of how much God must love us, to bless us with such a miracle! I don't know if they're gonna call me "Aunt" or "Auntie", or what, but I know I'm supremely delighted to be filling this role!
